Which publisher is best?

After looking at a some publishers such as Dennis, Bauer and IPC to name a few, I have decided that Future PLC would be a suitable institution to publish the magazine. Future are one of the UK's leading publishers, and have magazines tailored for several markets, including technology, gaming, fitness and music. In their portfolio, Future's music publications are:

Classic Rock
Classic Rock Prog
Computer Music
Future Music
Guitar Aficionado (US)
Guitar Legends (US)
Guitar Techniques
Guitar World (US)
Guitarist
Guitarist (Australia)
Metal Hammer
Revolver (US)
Rhythm
Total Guitar

The reason why I believe Future would be suitable for my magazine is because their music magazines relate to my chosen genre of alternative rock. Almost all of the magazines are rock oriented, so my creation should fit in nicely with them. Furthermore, because Future has such a high readership across all of their genres, I believe that, were the magazine published with them, Future would be able to effectively market the magazine nationwide, increasing sales and popularity.

SPIN magazine readership

SPIN, an American music magazine, has a readership consisting of both genders, with 62% of readers male and 38% female. The average age of readers is 31 years; 26.95% are aged 18-25 and 35.47% are aged 25-34. 52% of their readership live in urban areas as opposed to more rural locations. Median household income is around $65000. So their main target audience would be mature males who live in citieswith a higher than average income; this means that stereotypically they will be more interested in mainstream music such as pop and rock than other alternatives such as electro and heavy metal.
